Who checks our stories
A named editor checks and approves every article before it is published. Our publishing system will not publish an article without a reviewer.
How we use AI
We use AI to prepare first drafts of news stories, guides and reports, mostly from our own data. A human editor checks every fact and number, edits the text and decides whether it is published. People write our features, interviews and opinion pieces; AI only helps with transcripts and proofreading. Every article says how it was made.
Sources
We link to our sources, and we do not publish claims we cannot check. When we report an accusation against a person or a project, we say who made it and what evidence exists.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated note to the article. Every correction is also listed on the corrections page. We do not quietly delete mistakes.
Conflicts of interest
Writers declare the collectibles they own when a story is about them. We do not accept payment, gifts or free items in exchange for coverage, and we do not use affiliate links.
What we do not publish
We do not publish price predictions, buying advice or lists of what to buy.
